What is JEDI?
Mission Statement:
Our mission is to create a strong school community where all families, especially underserved families belong, are heard, and uplifted. Through collective and individual learning, growth, and action we commit to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion at Little Elementary.
Tenets:
Justice: Equal access to humane rights, opportunities, and treatment that realizes the dignity of each individual
Equity: An element of fairness and justice that seeks to address systematic injustice, inequity, or oppression
Diversity: Including all social, ethnic backgrounds, and belief systems in one place where their voices are heard and matter to any and all subjects
Inclusion and Belonging: Bringing traditionally marginalized people into the process, activities, and decision making and where they feel valued and accepted
Community: A group of people who are committed to strong values and morals that not only uplifts and protects but projects positivity and equality to children now and generations to come
Vision:
Little Elementary is a welcoming community for all families, where students’ diverse backgrounds and individuality are recognized, cultivated, and celebrated.
